Consolation Prize
The following is not about you.
“You can write about it,” is the shithead consolation prize that is awarded to me after I endure something unusually unpleasant or cumbersome. It happens after someone knows I have the tendency to write and want to point out some way I can pull something good out of a bad situation. ‘Silver Lining It,’ as it were.

My cat, Jack
My cat, Jack, has woken up from his brief nap on the floor in my bedroom, where the light from the third window beams down in a slanted square, a rhombus of warmth that this black, fifteen-plus year old alley cat has stretched half his body out in a brief snooze. Later today, when I sit in the living room at the desk donated to me by a friend, he'll take his afternoon nap in the bigger spotlights, sunning himself out as he sleeps his afternoon away.
It's been a while since he has had the condition coined by my family as "a bug up [his] ass." There were a few times in the first months that I had Jack where he ran from room to room, chasing something invisible or getting a bit of exercise. Unlike my family's cat, Princess, Jack didn't like to fight/wrestle. Whereas Princess would pounce my arm and only half-bite at my palm or wrist, Jack took any kind of playful advances as serious, leaving deep scratches. It took only one or two times for me to get the point.

Site Update
Revamped the site to have it look a little bit different. Getting rid of the white will be nicer to your browser plus, blue's my favorite color. Hopefully, this means I can keep the motivation going to regularly update this. I put up pictures when I don't have the words, so subscribe and check back in.
I'll be more clear with labeling the Flow pictures. Feedback is welcome at any time, via twitter or email.
Flow
Taken last 4th of July by the side of the road, next to a farm in the back area of Upstate New York.

Flow
There's an overpass here that might be haunted by spirits, sprites or booze goblins. A year ago, I found numerous Jack Daniels bottles here. As the picture displays, the booze goblins have switched to Jägermeister. Old cans of beer and the aforementioned JD bottles remain scattered about, but the Jäger is fresh and new.
